Reading the Liberal Progressive this evening reminded me of something I've been meaning to do: link to some charities. The two I recommend the most are: The American Cancer Society: they are a huge organization and, as such, are capable of a making a large impact on the research and treatment of many different kinds of cancers. Cancer is a nightmare. This is a great place to donate. Save the Children: Over 90% of donations to StC go directly to program services. They did a lot of work following the 2004 tsunami. They do a lot of good for the most helpless people in the world. You can also sponsor a child. I'll be putting permanent links to these two in the sidebar. If you are looking for a place to donate some money this holiday season, you would be hard pressed to find more worthy recipients. Tags: Charity, Cancer
