Trivia Quiz for Manhood: 10.7.2006

Here are the results of the latests trivia challenge:

Liberal Pi barely edged V. They both answered 4 questions correctly, but L. Pi got the quote correct (tie-break).

Questions: Answers.

1. What breed of dog is Marmaduke?: Great Dane

2. What are the first names of the Menendez Brothers?: Lyle and Erik

3. How many inches equal a cubit?: 21.8 (I go with my question source.)

4. What was the name of Roscoe's dog on "The Dukes of Hazzard"?: Flash

5. What is the largest Canadian province?: Nunavut

6. Quote: "Beef jerky time!": "Trading Places"

So, congratulations to Liberal Pi, who is 2-0.

On to the next quiz:

1. In which city was Archduke Franz Ferdinand assasinated?

2. What "Jane's Addiction" song opens with barking dogs?

3. How many children does Queen Elizabeth II have?

4. What athelete's talk show was cancelled after only 8 weeks in 1998? (Zero-point bonus: what was the worst talk show ever?)

5. What is the longest running holiday TV special in history?

6. Place the quote: "Como estan, bitches!"

As usual, ties will be decided by the most detail pertaining to the quote. Enjoy.

Always a delight to answer in... Random tidbit of the night, I just came back from a superhero night hosted by one of the quads on campus. Second runner-up in the costume contest was a rather striking V costume, from V for Vendetta. Anyway, on to the new questions...

1. That'd be Sarajevo,

2. "Been Caught Stealing"

3. That would be four children. Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward

4. Ouch... I'm not a fan of athletes to begin with, much less their talk shows. I've got no clue. Best of luck to V and everyone else!

5. This one is all about the classics, so lets have some good cheer. The answer is "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".

6. Ben Stiller's character from the movie Anchorman. He played what is presumably the leader of the Spanish Language News Team.

1) Sarajaevo. I think it also sparked some mild disagreement around the world, few skirmishes here and there.

2) Who let the dogs out? Maybe JA did a cover of the Geto Boys 'classic'.

3)I know this, I know this....The answers is "Who gives a crap, Alex?"
OK. Four kids. My colonial past shows up.

4) That would be Enchanted Dick...no... Wizardly Wang....no...Prestidigitating Penis no no nooo....... Magic Johnson...thats it, Magic Johnson! Bonus: Pat Sajak Show.

5) It's a wonderful life? (Its Charlie Brown Xmas, isnt it?)

6) G W Bush, upon signing the bill that put Habeas Corpus into obsolescence.

Ta-frikkin-da! later boys,
v.
