Had Enough?

[Thanks, Newt!] The Washington Post is reporting on the the Foley bomb that is further reducing the GOP's chances of holding onto Congress. I think it is important to remember that they were in trouble before this. Now, just when the bleeding had seemed to slow, the House leadership delivers another self-inflicted wound. Hastert is scurrying around trying to cover his butt (no easy task at any time). The Washington Times is calling for Hastert to resign as Speaker. It doesn't really matter because, after November 7th, he won't be in the majority anyway. BTW, the Times still has zero credibility. They are a quasi-news organization at best, propaganda machine at worst, however, when your friends turn on you - you gots problems. 5 weeks to go. 35 days. Keep it up. Vote Webb. Update: The genuine conservative (particularly Christian conservative) outcry on this is heartwarming. The Republican leadership may only care about clinging to power at all costs but at least all regular Americans can agree that this kind of crap is unacceptable.
