GOP Eat-Your-Own Week Rolls On

Its almost as good a "Shark Week". Today's victim: Senator John Warner. Why? Senator Warner had the audacity to suggest that maybe, just maybe, if the Iraqis can't get their $#!# together in the next few months, we might have to (gasp!) rethink our strategy there. Heaven forefend! Honestly, this isn't that bold of a statement (unless you are a Bush Administration shill). So what does this WWII Veteran, former Navy Secretary, and 5-term Senator get from his party for giving an honest assessment of the situation? Do you even have to ask? He gets called a rat, a traitor, and a cut and runner (whatever the hell that is). So, congratulations Senator! Your lifetime of honorable service to our country is being disregarded and you are being smeared as a coward and a traitor because you dared to say that an obviously failed policy that is costing us military personnel's lives everyday while simultaneously making us less safe around the world might need to be tweaked. So, congratulations again because, as Johnny Cash said, "Its good to know who hates you and its good to be hated by the right people." PS: If people who are wrong all the time think you are wrong, does that make you correct by definition?
